Kee Klamp®
Kee Klamp® fittings offer the most flexible solution for the construction of safety railing, handrail, guardrail and barrier. The Kee Klamp® system securely joins standard sizes of structural steel tube (from 17.5mm O/D to 60.3mm O/D) into almost any configuration imaginable, utilising the widest range of fittings available on the market today. Kee Klamp® tubular fittings are pre-galvanised cast iron for strength and corrosion resistance and meet specified loadings up to 1500 N/m. Kee Klamp® fittings are capable of creating a versatile range of tubular structures, able to cope with frequent changes in direction and height levels and removing the need for welding and drilling on site. This makes installation simpler and far quicker, with no special tools required. These simple to use, galvanised malleable cast iron fittings allow pre-cut lengths of standard tubing (from 21.3mm to 60.3mm) to be connected together to form hand railing and other types of tubular framework structure. Using Kee Klamp® fittings results in a finished structure with uniform appearance which meets guaranteed design loads. All fittings within the Kee Klamp® range incorporate an integral socket screw which locks the fitting securely onto its tube to give an excellent slip load performance. Kee Klamp® tubular fittings are manufactured to the requirements of EN 1562 & 1563. We can provide either components or finished product all our installers are fully trained and certified by Kee Safety Ltd As well as Brochures on the range of fittings which can be accessed here KEE KLAMP Components we also have specialised documentation on Kee Klamps ® uses in The Water and Petro Chemical Industries, if you would like a copy of these contact sharon@irishfencing.com or phone 016268363

Construction Contracts Bill
An Important Step for Our Industry
by Terry Hobdell
 |
| Senator Feargal Quinn Sponsor Of The Bill |
|
This Bill was the initial work of Senator Feargal Quinn who introduced it via the Senate and I would like to recognise the tremendous work he put into this issue. It is supported by the CIF, IBEC, and The Professional bodies within the industry. it was taken over as a Government sponsored bill by the last Government. The New Government has continued its support and it is due back in the Dail after the Mahon Report Debate. The Bill does much to eliminate unfair elements of the previous contractual system, and is designed to protect payments to suppliers, sub contractors and others in the contractual chain involved in construction. We like many others lost huge sums of money over the past few years to those who used the system to avoid paying Sub Contractors or Suppliers either dishonestly or due to the incompetent way they ran their business's. The lack of protection in our industry has existed for over 40 years but when times were good we forgot about the problem. If you would like to ensure the passage of the Construction Contracts Bill I urge you to contact your T.D. a list of email addresses is a available here Dail Deputies emails 2012 Irish Fencing and a draft letter is available here.
